The Irish know how to brew but what you don’t know is, they have some really wonderful recipes and the way they cook is sublime. You can expect more than potatoes and their bar grub makes the list for some of the best in the world. From juicy sausages to delicious Irish Coffee, the Irish have your back for the perfect bar experience.
Personally, I like to write about the things I like. Like catching a sporting event in NYC or posting reviews about the restaurants I’ve had a good time at, like one of these!
Here’s a list of some of the best Irish restaurants in New York City:
1. The Dead Rabbit
30 Water St, New York, NY 10004, USA
Claiming to serve The Best Guinness in New York, The Dead Rabbit is loyal to its Irish-American menu. Although the place is more known for its amazing cocktails, if you come during brunch time you will have some of the best dishes from rashers to bangers. Do try their bacon sausages, as if bacon could get better but here, it does.
2. Cronin and Phelan
3814 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11103, USA
Away from the bars and onto classic little diners! This beloved and cherished Astoria spot sports some super impressive daily specials. They serve some amazing lunchtime-only Irish toasties made with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, Irish bacon and red onions. Also, try their Irish-style chicken curry for a cultural surprise.
3. Le Chéile
839 W 181st St, New York, NY 10033, USA
As hard it is to pronounce, this word has no exact translation from Gaelic, but loosely, it means together. This beautiful little restaurant gives you a spectacular view of the George Washington bridge. The beef stew is the dish to try here made with tender beef and vegetables on a bed of soft mashed potatoes. Also, if you like to doodle on table napkins, your piece of art could go up on the wall.
