New York City makes gaming even more fun with some really retro and new age gaming bars. Yes, it’s true, you can now enjoy a number of games and a few pints all at the same place. The best thing?

With stellar facilities and top-of-the-game consoles, you’d wish you knew about these before! Just get on a bus to NY and all will be done.

1. Where: Action Burger

Why it’s better than home: If gathering at a friend’s basement, spending hours on video games and booze was your thing, Action Burger is where you should be. Call your buddies and strap in. Why it’s better than home: Sunshine Laundromat is a speakeasy bar but with a daring secret! The largest pinball machine collection in the city! And did we mention it’s a bar?! Another great date option, just cause you’re a gamer doesn’t mean you can’t have a steady love life going. The place is open till 4 am and there are 8 drafts on tap. Games include AC/DC: Back in Black, The Twilight Zone and Guardians of the Galaxy!
3. Where: Waypoint

Why it’s better than home: Want the gaming cafe experience, PC gamer? Waypoint is the place to go to! Get your own laptop or get on one of their numerous computers and get gaming. You have the option of playing almost any popular online PC game! Waypoint also hosts a lot of Overwatch tournaments so if you don’t feel like you’re ready for it, you could always watch the big boys play. For $5 an hour, it’s too good to be true!
