New York City is buzzing with numerous restaurants and cafés but what seems like the most romantic option is a meal by the water. There’s something incredibly soothing and intimate about dining outdoors especially at a dinner cruise or bar on a boat. Good drinks, even better food a spectacular view and, of course, your date is everything you’d want to make this weekend a perfect one.
The best thing about these is that they’re in New York City so that saves you the long-distance bus travel to find the right restaurant!
Here’s a list of the best waterfront restaurants in NYC:
1. Ruby’s Bar and Grill
1213 Boardwalk W, Brooklyn, NY 11224, USA
Another neighborhood treasure, Ruby’s Bar & Grill has been open to the people of Coney Island since 1976! That’s upward of 4 decades, making it one of the seniormost bar and grill on the boardwalk. Ruby’s believes in the old-timey ways with pictures of beach babes, a huge jukebox full of rock and roll, beers served in plastic cups and a ton of greasy snacks. The bar also employs teenagers during the summers and have them serve you everything golden fried.
2. Le District
225 Liberty St, New York, NY 10281, USA
Judging from the name, I’m gonna guess this has something to do with French food? This industrial-style French-food jungle offering bars, stalls and restaurants. The whopping 30,000 sq-ft market, created by infamous restauranteur Peter Poulakakos has something you love and something you’ve never tried before. From éclairs to baguette sandwiches to Moroccan coffee to frog legs to macarons and, of course, wine and cheese! It’s a foodie’s wonderland, and mostly everything is edible.
3. Tatiana Grill
3152 Brighton 6th St, Brooklyn, NY 11235, USA
Tatiana Grill is nothing but a big and beautiful hello from Russia. This Russian spot can be accessed via the boardwalk, a mere ten-minute stroll from Coney Island. The restaurant offers a variety of Eastern European staple dishes like borscht and pelmeni dumplings. The dishes to try have to be the beet salad, a bowl with fresh arugula, beet cubes and goat’s cheese in a light vinaigrette and the salmon topped with salty olives!
