The dating culture in New York City, like the city, is extremely fast-paced. With such wide range of restaurant choices, where would you take your date? It’s imperative that you and your date both have a wonderful time but if the place is extremely loud, you might end up with a lousy date with no real progress.
The perfect restaurant would have a good crowd, lovely music playing, cosy seats, great food, an even greater wine selection! But to find the perfect one would, sometimes, take longer than the time it took you to find your date!
No need to navigate to Washington DC, New York has it covered.
Here’s a list of some of the most romantic bars in the city for your next date:
1. Little Branch
Little Branch falls into the category of speakeasies and that makes it a little difficult to find but when you do, it is rewarding. The drinks are amazing and the place is cozy, perfect for two people. If asked politely, the bartender will make you a drink tailored to your preference, completely off the menu! Do try the Juleps here.
2. Le Boudoir
This is another speakeasy bar that looks like Marie Antionette’s secret dressing room if it were full of booze! If you or your date are into the historical scene, this setting is perfect for you two. The bar is littered with neoclassical paintings, rich decor and the alcohol is served in fancy silver chalices. There are live jazz bands and acts, another good icebreaker.
3. Angel’s Share
This place might just be the classiest joint in all of East Village. Angel’s Share is located in a small Japanese restaurant called Village Yokocho, all you have to do is walk through the unmarked door at the end of the restaurant. The cocktails here are amazing and its a really cool space to enjoy a first or fifteenth date.
