While at Colonial Williamsburg, we recommend purchasing a day pass to see all of the historic homes, government buildings and fields – and then walking down the Duke of Gloucester Street to William and Mary College. Have lunch at the Cheese Shop, where you can get some of the best cheese sandwiches known to man. For dinner, we recommend dining at one of Colonial Williamsburg’s historic taverns, where you’ll be taken back in time over a hearty meal.
Located an hour out of Williamsburg, Kings Dominion is by far one of the best areas to visit while in Williamsburg, VA with children. This amusement park boasts 60 rides, attractions, and shows as well as a twenty-acre water park. With a lot to do in a single park, you are bound to have something for every family member to enjoy. For the children, Camp Snoopy provides them with 20 family-friendly rides which include a kid-sized coaster, a train ride, and swings.
