OurBus Launches New School Break Routes connecting CMU to Philly, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia

OurBus is proud to announce the launch of two college break routes for Carnegie Mellon University during the 2022-2023 school year, offering more travel options during peak travel periods.

The new routes are:
CMU—Harrisburg, PA—King of Prussia, PA —Philadelphia, PA—Cherry Hill, PA
CMU—Bethesda, MD—Tysons, VA

The routes will run on the following dates:
August move-in
Saturday, August 27th, 2022 (Back to school)

October Break
Friday, October 14th, 2022 (leaving school)
Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 (back to school)

Thanksgiving Break
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 (leaving school)
Sunday, November 27th, 202 (back to school)

December move-out
Sunday, December 18th, 2022 (leaving school)
Monday, December 19th, 2022 (leaving school)

If you are looking to travel on another date, we suggest booking on our regular Pittsburgh – Harrisburg – Philadelphia – New York route, which runs 4 days a week and departs from downtown Pittsburgh by the convention center.

The new routes will connect the CMU campus directly to key regional destinations, bringing students and their loved ones closer than ever.

King of Prussia, Philadelphia,Cherry Hill, and Tysons stops offer free parking and are transit-oriented, with convenient and frequent connections to SEPTA, NJ Transit and/or WMATA metro.

Harrisburg stop on Eastbound trips offers free parking, but it is on Penn Turnpike right next to PSU Harrisburg, and regrettably not transit-accessible. Uber and Lyft are available. Westbound trips
